Job Summary :
We are seeking a talented Quality Control Manager who can be responsible for ensuring that all technical aspects of construction, including that of subcontractors and suppliers, complies with the requirements of the contract for a particular project.
Job Details :
Entrants to this position generally possess an average of 5 years experience in quality control with demonstrated ability to properly perform quality control functions.
Field experience in all phases of construction.
Complete and thorough understanding of all contractual specifications and drawings.
Knowledgeable of QA/QC terminology.
Ability to work with other departments within the organization and suppliers to negotiate and resolve issues arising from quality control inspections.
Provide effective, useful and timely support to construction projects in order to achieve contractual obligations.
US Army Corp QA/QC certification or other federal background experience preferred
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
QCM will need to identify, discuss and resolve on site issues with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
Excellent MS Office Suite skills, MS Word, Excel
Ability to work under pressure, closely track QC details.
Comfortable working in a rapidly changing, unpredictable environment
Good problem solving skills.
Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision

Job Responsibilities :
Implement the quality control plan (QCP) as required for the project jobsite.
Review all shop drawings and submittals for compliance with job specifications. Maintain the submittal register for the project.
Identify and track any deficiencies on the jobsite.
When required, the QCM will hold preparatory meetings with subcontractor and client before starting any definable feature of work on a jobsite.
Ensure that all material delivered to the jobsite complies with approved submittals and contract specifications.
Monitor installation techniques to ensure client receives quality product. Installation methods will also be measured and inspected for conformance with the contract specifications.
Supervise all testing on jobsite.
Review schedule with superintendent to ensure project stays on target.
QCM will work with subcontractors and superintendent to implement recovery methods if needed to stay on schedule.
Ensure that all subcontractors and suppliers adhere to the Quality Control Plan established for the project.
Insure all safety measures are enforced on jobsite.
QCM will also act as safety officer on project.
Assist with preparation of monthly invoice to client.
Assist with review of invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
Review all test reports received and respond to them as needed.
Communicate daily with the client’s on-site representative on status of project.
As a primary on-site representative for the company, the QCM will need to develop and maintain a positive relationship with the client.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or, Engineering.
Completion of Construction Quality Management For Contractors course within the past two years.
Must have 5 years experience on Army Corps projects as a SSHO
Must have current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
